Industry: proptech & real estate tech

What this is

Proptech moves fast; most of it doesn't matter to a working agent. This feed keeps only what does — AI tools worth trying, funding and M&A that reshuffle your vendors, policy changes that hit your tech stack, and market shifts like domain price hikes. Event-driven, not daily: a new entry appears only when something real happens. No filler, no "no news today."

This is separate from our Brief signals, which cover only CRM buying decisions (price changes, vendor moves, tactics).

Harvard-trained architect's AI startup turns staging into "listing intelligence"

George Zheng's Edensign (Harvard Innovation Labs) stages listing photos in ~15 seconds, then goes further — room-by-room condition scoring, improvement recommendations, and pricing guidance from the same photos. The model is trained to never touch a home's architectural elements, which Zheng frames as the line between staging and MLS misrepresentation — the compliance question every agent using AI-altered photos should be asking.

.com wholesale price rises 7% on November 1 — renew early to lock today's rate

Verisign raises the .com wholesale price from $10.26 to $10.97/yr on Nov 1, 2026 (first of up to four annual 7% hikes through 2030). Registrars are passing it through — Internet.bs jumps to $17.49/yr on renewal. Renewing before Nov 1 locks the current price for every year you prepay, up to ten years; worth doing for the domain your website and email run on.
