Gitcha brings buyer profiles to Hive MLS: off-market matches across six Southeast states

Original headline: “New Hive MLS tool gives agents a clearer view of buyer demand” — HousingWire, Oct 7, 2026

Gitcha signed a deal to add its Buyer Listing Service to Hive MLS, which serves nearly 20,000 brokers and appraisers across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee and Alabama, HousingWire reports. Starting in December, members can post structured buyer profiles (location, property type, price range, timing) inside the MLS so listing agents can spot matching demand, including for homes not yet on the market.

Our take (opinion & analysis, not reporting)

For agents in Hive markets: a posted buyer profile could surface off-market matches, but check your seller's and buyer's consent before sharing their needs. Treat buyer profiles as one more lead source and tag them in your CRM so you can see whether they convert.
